چکیده
Abstract: Simira gardneriana (Rubiaceae) is a newly discovered tree species endemic to the Caatinga. For this reason, studies aimed at propagation, seed and seedlings analysis are essential for morphology, identification, classification, conservation. Our objective was characterize seeds, morpho-physiology of germination seedling establishment S. gardneriana. Therefore, we performed physical, biometric, biochemical, morphological characterization as well an evaluation process establishment. Hydration seeds carried out by three methods (immersion in water, on wire mesh, between paper rolls) two temperatures (25 30 °C). Morphological substrate °C 28 days. Seeds orthodox, amylo-lipid, have endosperm do not exhibit physical dormancy. can be achieved roll with root protrusion sixth day, complete formation 28th day after sowing. Seedlings phanero-epigeal cotyledonous photosynthetic cotyledons ability regrow system. Characterization contributes its propagation may help subsequent taxonomic phylogenetic Rubiaceae.

Biochemical Aspects of Protein Changes in Seed Physiology and Germination
Seed storage proteins are synthesized as sources of carbon, nitrogen and sulfur for the next generation of plants. Reactive oxygen species serve as second messengers for signal transduction; however, molecular targets of oxidant signaling have not been defined. Here, many researchers showes that ligand–receptor mediated signaling promotes reactive oxygen species– dependent protein carbonylation...

متن کاملSeed germination eco-physiology of Mikania micrantha H.B.K
Mikania micrantha H.B.K is an invasive alien weed in South China. To help understand the mechanisms of its invasiveness, we studied its seed germination ecophysiology. We found that the optimal temperatures for seed germination were 25, 30, 15/30°C (night/day), and an ambient temperature (24-32°C). Germination percentage (GP) in dark was less than 10%, and it increased with increasing light int...
متن کاملMorpho-anatomy, imbibition, viability and germination of the seed of Anadenanthera colubrina var. cebil (Fabaceae).
Seed biology is a relevant aspect of tropical forests because it is central to the understanding of processes of plant establishment, succession and natural regeneration. Anadenanthera colubrina var. cebil is a timber tree from South America that produces large seeds with thin weak teguments, which is uncommon among legumes. This study describes the morphology and anatomy of the seed coat, the ...
